Good news for U.S. citizens traveling to Palau, there is no entry visa required for tourist or business visitors. Only a US passport is needed. Please visit www.texastower.net for requirements and assistance for a US passport.

Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Hepatitis A are recommended vaccinations, see your healthcare provider to get up to date so your trip to Palau is a healthy one. If you want to do something a little different than staying in a hotel, consider Airbnb for a cheap rental while you’re there.

United Airlines Flights No Longer Grounded, Delays Remain - NBC News.clipularOn July 8th, 2015 United Airlines lost a router and with it. The result was for roughly almost 2 hours their entire fleet of planes was grounded as the system that handled passenger check-in, boarding, and flights was out of commission.

United Airlines states their system is now fully functional, however there was dozens of cancellations and hundreds of delays reported today for travelers.  United estimated the fall out from the glitch affected an estimated 235 domestic and 138 international destinations today.

If you were affected by the glitch, United is offering a waiver on their website to change flights. There is a full report at NBC.

KattenKabinet – Herengracht 497
The KattenKabinet (Cat Cabinet) is a historical building that has an art gallery and big time love of cats.

The museum was created as an homage to the founders much loved ginger cat named, John Pierpont Morgan, who has a shrine dedicated to him. You will find cat paintings, cat sculptures, and cat drawings all over the first floor. There are also resident cats that move among the artworks.

Open Times: Monday to Friday – 10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm

logo-de-poezenboot-grAnother interesting attraction for cat lovers is  De Poezenboot – Singel 38G. The Poezenboot (Cat Boat) is the only floating cat sanctuary in the entire Netherlands. It’s been a thing since 1966 when a woman named Henriette rescued a family of cats and took them into her home. This was the beginning of many cats she rescued and soon she needed more space. Her solution was a houseboat.
