Not Sure What to Order? Ask Texas Tower Before You Do

Here's something people don't hear often enough when dealing with passports, visas, and international documents:

You don't necessarily have to know what service you need before you ask for help.

Sometimes that's the entire reason you're calling.

Maybe someone told you that you need an apostille, but you're not completely sure what that means.

Maybe you're traveling overseas and can't figure out whether you need a traditional visa, an eVisa, or no visa at all.

Maybe you need a birth certificate for a passport application and don't know which version is acceptable.

Or maybe your situation is simply complicated enough that none of the descriptions you're reading seem to match it.

That's normal in the world of international documents.

We handle a pretty broad range of services: expedited U.S. passports, travel visas and eVisas, Brazilian passport renewals, certified birth certificates, apostilles, document translations and international driving permits.

Those services also overlap.

That's where things can get confusing.

Someone preparing to work overseas, for example, might need a valid U.S. passport, a work visa, an apostille on certain documents, and certified translations.

That's not four unrelated errands. They're all pieces of one international travel or relocation process.

So if you're looking through the Texas Tower website and you're unsure which service to order, contact Texas Tower before placing the order.

Explain what you're trying to accomplish.

Where are you going?

Why are you going?

When are you traveling?

What documents do you currently have?

What document has an employer, school, foreign government, attorney, or other organization asked you to provide?

Those details are much more useful than trying to guess the name of the service.

This also applies to passport situations.

You may know that you need a passport quickly but not know whether your circumstances qualify as a renewal. An expired passport doesn't automatically tell the whole story. Your age when it was issued, how long ago it was issued, its physical condition, and other factors can affect which application process applies.

The same idea applies to visas.

Visa requirements are tied to nationality, destination, and purpose of travel. Tourism, business, employment, and study aren't interchangeable categories simply because they're happening in the same country.

Ordering the wrong service first can create extra work that nobody needs.

We have been handling passports and international travel documents for decades. If you're unsure where your situation fits, getting ordering help before submitting everything can save a lot of confusion.

You don't need to become an expert in passport regulations, visa categories, apostilles, and document authentication just to get ready for a trip.

Tell Texas Tower what you're trying to do.

Then you can figure out which documents and services will actually get you there.
