United Airlines Back in the Air-Delays Remain
On July 8th, 2015 United Airlines lost a router and with it. The result was for roughly almost 2 hours their entire fleet of planes was grounded as the system that handled passenger check-in, boarding, and flights was out of commission.
United Airlines states their system is now fully functional, however there was dozens of cancellations and hundreds of delays reported today for travelers. United estimated the fall out from the glitch affected an estimated 235 domestic and 138 international destinations today.
