Can US Citizens Travel to Brazil During the COVID-19 Pandemic?

If you are a U.S. citizen and have a visa for entry, you can travel to Brazil currently.

Brazil remains at a Level 4 Travel Advisory because the country continues to experience high daily case numbers of COVID-19 with varying degrees of incidence throughout the country. Grocery stores are currently well-stocked and services are expected to increase in the coming weeks. U.S.-Brazil commercial flight routes continue to run and the frequency of flights has recently increased.
Foreign travelers must have proof of health insurance that is valid for the duration of their maximum 90 days stay in the amount of a minimum of $30,000 Brazilian reais. Failure to provide this could result in the denial of entry by Brazilian authorities.

Health screening procedures are in place at airports and other ports of entry. Currently, there are no self-quarantine orders or curfews in place.

If you need to obtain your Brazil visa for entry, contact our office at 713-874-1420, we will be happy to assist you.
