How to Get Your Kenya Visa in Katy

Are you a Katy resident planning a trip to Kenya? Excited to see Nairobi, go on your first ever safari, explore beautiful Lake Nakuru, or visit loved ones broad for the holidays? Whether you’re on your way to Kenya for business or on holiday, you’re going to need a visa. Here’s a quick, easy breakdown of what you need to know and the documents required to obtain your Kenya visa.

When you apply for your Kenya visa:

  • You can only apply 90 days before your planned departure date
  • At most, you can stay in Kenya for 90 days
  • Multiple entry visas are only allowed to be issued to travelers holding US, UK, or Canada passports.
  • If you’re only in Kenya in an airport waiting for a connecting flight to your destination, a visa is not necessary.

Now, let’s move on to the documents you’ll need for your visa application. If you use Texas Tower to order your visa, make sure to include your Texas Tower order form with the below documents for your intended visa.

For Business:

  • A completed online application for a Kenya visa
  • Two passport-type photos (make sure to take off your glasses!)
  • Your physical passport, valid for at least 6 months after trip completion with a blank visa page
  • If you don’t have a US passport, make sure you provide a copy of your green or your US visa and I-94
  • A copy of your flight itinerary
  • A company business letter printed on your company’s letterhead

For Tourism:

  • A completed online application for a Kenya visa
  • Two passport-type photos (make sure to take off your glasses!)
  • Your physical passport, valid for at least 6 months after trip completion with a blank visa page
  • If you don’t have a US passport, make sure you provide a copy of your green or your US visa and I-94
  • A copy of your flight itinerary
