Does Turkey Require a Travel Visa for US Citizens?


Turkey does require a travel visa for US citizens, along with a valid US passport. After April 10th, 2014, visitors must obtain an e-visa before traveling. Texas Tower can help with obtaining an e-visa along with a valid US passport. Turkey is currently at a level 4 “do not travel” advisory. Despite this, it is still open for US citizens. After 10 April 2014, it will not be possible to get a visa on arrival in Turkey. Visitors arriving in Turkey on or after this date must obtain an e-visa online before travel.
Government cost is $20, valid for 180 days after the date of arrival.
USA passports will receive multiple-entry e-visas.
